MakeWay is looking for a Salesforce Solutions Analyst who will be vital to analyzing, supporting, and optimizing our day-to-day operational systems, with a primary focus on Salesforce and it’s integrations. This role plays an important part in understanding business needs from a user perspective, including data and reporting, and working to optimize system design and usage to meet the needs of users every day.
MakeWay builds partnerships and solutions to help nature and communities thrive together. We are made up of two legal charitable entities: MakeWay Charitable Society, a shared platform home to over 60+ innovative community-led projects staffed by 200+ change makers; and MakeWay Foundation where about 75+ people are advancing place-based programs that support Indigenous-led solutions and conservation in the North, Pacific, Manitoba, and beyond via grant-making, funder collaboratives and other tools. What You’ll Do:
Salesforce CRM Management
- Manage Salesforce CRM system operations in live (production) and sandbox environments, including user and license management.
- Configure Salesforce settings and features to align with organizational requirements.
- Oversee critical Salesforce functionalities such as donor management, finance and revenue processes, and grants management.
- Handle data loading tasks and address feature requests, including mass record ownership transfers and uploads.
- Monitor system performance and implement security measures to safeguard data integrity.
- Create, improve, monitor, and repair integrations with systems such as Workato, Zapier, Cloud4J, and Click and Pledge.
- Administer the Salesforce Partner Portal.
- Assist in implementing CRM-related projects, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and timelines.
- Analyze data management systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement appropriate solutions.
- Design and implement data validation and verification procedures to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify data requirements and develop data collection.
- Direct the design, deployment, and adoption of solutions for transparent and accurate reporting through dashboards.
- Utilize data analysis techniques to derive insights and inform decision-making processes.
- Generate reports and dashboards to visualize data patterns for organizational stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements.
- Provide help desk support, identifying root cause analysis and providing direct solutions to end users, including responding to and managing incidents to ensure system uptime and security.
- Develop, document (in multiple mediums), and deploy (in person or pre-recorded) end-user training for system users of supported systems.
- Work with the existing Information Systems team to document, cross-train and validate solutions.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in Salesforce and data management.
- Adaptable: You can work in dynamic environments, handle changing priorities, and quickly learn new technologies or methodologies.
- Logical Analyst: You can analyze existing systems, understand technical requirements, and identify areas for improvement and optimization in an organized, logical, and methodical way.
- Problem Solver: You can dissect complex issues, troubleshoot technical problems, isolate and investigate, and provide root-cause analysis to solve problems.
- Team Player: You collaborate and communicate well with cross-functional teams, including business users, developers, and IT professionals, to achieve common goals.
- Independent self-starter: You take initiative, manage your workload, utilize all the resources at your disposal, and ask for help when needed.
- Detail-oriented: You excel at tasks that require a high level of precision and you address errors and inconsistencies when you see them.
- 2-3 years as a Salesforce Administrator, Salesforce Solutions Analyst, or similar role.
- Experience working on Tier 2 and 3 technical support for Salesforce based solutions.
- Experience working with Process Builder, Workato, Zapier, CloudJ4, and other integrative software or RPA Tools.
- Strong and applied knowledge of computer systems, software applications, and data, reporting & analytics.
- Business Analysis skills, including user test case preparation and management.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to decompose more complex problems and/or processes into logical parts and document processes in a logical manner.
- Proven ability to drive small-medium scale projects from start to finish resulting in a high level of user adoption of designed solutions.
- Strong understanding of data architecture for the purpose of deploying robust reporting & analytics across the org via various systems and methods (Salesforce, Power BI, Tableau, etc).
- Undergraduate degree in a related field (i.e BSc in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology).
- Formal Salesforce training.
- Experience in writing Apex, Lightning Web Apps, Visualforce.
- 1-2 years' experience with non-profits or start-ups.
- Proven skills developing and deploying training to end users.
- Excellent technical documentation skills.
- Prior experience working with Jira, Box, Smartsheet, Microsoft products.
