Cognizant has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and collaborative Salesforce Functional Consultant to join our thriving team. This full-time role is based in Sydney and offers an attractive salary and benefits. Job Summary
As a Salesforce Consultant, you will be an all-rounder, work closely with client stakeholders and provide them with Salesforce functional expertise. High level duties will include stakeholder management, facilitate workshops for requirements elicitation, conduct as-is assessment of business processes, develop to-be state, document requirements in a form of user stories and categorize them in the form of themes and epics, work closely with the technical team and ensure that proposed solution meets the requirements, deliver end of sprint demos, plan and support UAT.
In your first few weeks in this role, you can expect to:
- Plan the requirements elicitation phase and get alignment with the PM and client on the end-to-end delivery of the project .
- Work closely with the product owner and SMEs to gain in-depth understanding of value chain, business strategy, processes, services, project roadmap and the context in which the business operates.
- Facilitate discovery workshops with the purpose of understanding the as-is process flow, pain points and desired features for to-be state .
- Agree the review and sign-off process with product owner and PM
- Assess the business processes in-depth and identify opportunities to streamline the processes by reducing wastes and leveraging Salesforce features
- Work with the product owner, key stakeholders from client side and technical architect/lead to develop and review:
- To-Be process flows
- List of themes, epics and user stories summary
- Conduct technical assessment with technical architect/lead to identify custom vs standard functionalities on the proposed to-be state
- Lead product owner and sponsor in custom versus standard discussions and do a rapid POC on standard functionalities if required
- Engage product owner and key stakeholders from client side to prioritize epics and develop a release plan.
- Build rapport with product owner and project sponsor .
- Drive the resolution of issues/road blocks by engaging or escalating to the relevant stakeholders
- Flag the operational and technological risks for the proposed target and in-transition to-be state.
- Collaborate closely with developers to implement the requirements and work with testers to provide guidance during QA process .
- Examine the business requirements/to-be state with the technical architect/lead and define the high-level proposed solution, assess the potential limitations of it and the impact on business requirements .
- Perform system testing during development sprints and ensure the build meets the requirements
- Work closely with UX designer on the prototype where project has a dedicated UX resource Work with the PM and the product owner to lead or participate in user story estimation sessions.
- Run requirements grooming sessions with product owner and SMEs to develop acceptance criteria for the user stories.
- Work with the technical team to break down large user stories to small sprint size stories.
- Be a point of contact for the technical team to provide clarification on user stories where required.
- Manage customer relationships and expectations by developing a communication process to communicate updates, decisions and findings
- Foster collaboration between business stakeholders, subject matter experts, technical architect/lead, developers and testers.
To apply for this role, your soft skills, expertise, and experience should include:
- 5+ years of experience as technology Consultant/BA and specifically worked on delivering complex solutions in an enterprise environment
- Experience of working within Agile team and fast-paced environment with rapid release cycles
- Strong experience documenting and refining themes, epics and user stories
- Familiar with BPMN 2.0
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong project management skills, including a proven ability to think end-to-end, establish priorities, and manage multiple streams simultaneously
- Experience in running design sprints in previous projects
- Experience of working with UX designer in previous projects
