Senior Salesforce Engineer

About the role

AXA Commercial are looking for a talented, passionate and versatile Senior Salesforce Engineer, with a growth mind-set and a commitment to technical excellence.You'll be a key member of our agile development community, building and maintaining our Salesforce Ecosystem and its integration with our in-house insurance platform, whilst embracing industry best practice and standards. Your highly collaborative style will help to nurture a culture of growth and learning, and you'll demonstrate the courage and resilience to persevere when faced with new challenges.Our technology stack is mostly made up of the following technologies; APEX, JavaScript, SOQL, SOSL, Flows, Lightening Web Components, HTML, CSS, Custom Objects, Complex Batch Jobs, Azure DevOps and Copado however we're also using and investigating many other languages and technologies with a primary focus on the Salesforce Platform, alongside an Azure cloud services landscape. At AXA we work smart, empowering our people to balance their time between home and the office in a way that works best for them, their team and our customers. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, either at one of our office locations, visiting clients or attending industry events.What you'll be doing:

• Developing solutions to the required quality, design, coding, performance and security standards
• Providing production support through investigations of incidents, triage and fix
• Testing solutions thoroughly, prioritising the use of automated testing standards and techniques
• Using a mixture of Low Code and Click driven solutions alongside more customised coded developed options when required
• Creating and supporting custom lighting web components and triggers alongside scheduled batch jobs
• Ensuring quality and continuous improvement through design reviews, code reviews and retrospectives
• Taking collective ownership for the platform as a whole responding to its needs for stability and availability
• Working closely with colleagues to share knowledge and ensure the continuous growth of our development

About you

What we’re looking for:

• Experience in a Salesforce Engineering role with relevant qualifications such as Platform Developer I and Salesforce Administrator
• Strong understanding of Clean Code practices, Object Orientation, SOLID Principles, Design Patterns, Governor Limits and Salesforce Best Practices
• Growth-oriented and adaptable with an ability to meet the changings needs of the platform and our customers
• Proven experience working across the Salesforce Ecosystem including Salesforce Financial Services Cloud
• A passion for software development with demonstration of this passion through blogging, contribution to open-source projects and attending tech events
• Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
• Desire to innovate in order to find optimal technical solutions
• Knowledge in the following technologies would be advantageous: C#, ASP.NET MVC, HTML, CSS, WCF, SQL, ASP.NET Web API, JavaScript, jQuery, Bootstrap
