Location: Vancouver, BC (Hybrid, 3 days in office)
The Role
Are you organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about solving challenges and leveraging data? The Salesforce Administrator (SA) is responsible for the day-to-day configuration, support, maintenance, and improvement of our CRM platform. Reporting to Sales, this role partners with key business stakeholders to streamline and optimize processes using Salesforce. The SA will also ensure that the platform operates efficiently and is utilized to its full potential to meet the company’s needs.
Responsibilities:
Salesforce Configuration and Customization:
- Perform daily administration tasks such as user setup, profiles, and roles, permissions, workflow rules, and security settings.
- Customize and configure objects, fields, record types, page layouts, and validation rules.
- Manage data imports and exports to ensure data integrity according to established firm approaches.
- Create and update reports, dashboards, and workflows to track KPIs and other performance metrics.
User Support & Training:
- Provide front-line support for end-users and resolve issues related to Salesforce.
- Conduct regular training sessions to ensure users understand how to use Salesforce effectively.
- Create and maintain training materials and user guides.
Platform Maintenance & Optimization:
- Monitor system performance, identify potential improvements, and ensure smooth operation.
- Stay updated with Salesforce releases and leverage new features to optimize business processes.
- Implement and maintain data quality practices, including data cleansing and deduplication.
Collaboration with Stakeholders:
- Partner with business leaders to understand their requirements and provide appropriate Salesforce solutions.
- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Operations and Technology and other teams to develop and implement CRM strategies that drive business outcomes.
- Support the EVP Sales & Marketing with business insight, administration, and other duties as required.
Data Management & Reporting:
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity within Salesforce through regular audits and data cleansing.
- Create complex reports and dashboards to monitor performance and provide insights to the business.
- Process Automation:
- Implement and maintain automation features such as workflow rules, process builder, flows, and approval processes to streamline operations.
Qualifications:
Experience:
- 2+ years’ experience as a Salesforce Administrator or a similar role.
- Experience with Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, and other relevant modules.
- Familiarity with Salesforce security model and data architecture.
Education & Certifications:
- University degree in Business or other relevant discipline, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Salesforce Administrator certification (required).
- Advanced Administrator, Platform App Builder, or other Salesforce certifications (an asset).
Skills & Competencies:
- Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices, workflows, and business process automation.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and data management expertise.
- Proficiency with tools such as Excel, Data Loader, and third-party Salesforce apps.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and to influence stakeholders.
- Highly proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Eligibility to travel between Canada and the US for occasional meetings.
- A criminal record check and credit check is required for this position.
Salary & Benefits:
- Actual salaries may vary based on factors, such as skill, experience, location and qualifications for the role.
- 2024 range is $65,000 - $80,000 CAD plus incentive plan and equity.
