What is the opportunity?
As the Salesforce DevOps Lead & Release Manager within Wealth Management Canada (WMC), you will have a critical leadership role in the implementation and management of Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) as the core WMC CRM platform, providing technical leadership into the overall solution design that accounts for how key CRM internal aspects need to be setup, as well as integration points and processes to implement the functional capabilities needed for CRM to transform RBC WMC’s ability to engage with clients and derive key data driven analytics.
You’ll be leading a diverse and inclusive agile lab across multiple programs that deliver solutions on Salesforce FSC and Lighting platform, along with critical Kafka (Java) development for near real-time data integrations between Salesforce and downstream producers/consumers.
The successful candidate will be excited to join and lead a team that employs the latest in Salesforce technology, scaled agile practices, as well as DevOps/SRE to stand up an infrastructure that supports the Salesforce Platform for RBC WMC.
What will you do?
Lead, manage and own the DevOps pipeline and process efficiencies, advocating for developer productivity
Design the environment strategy and lead the development teams to the correct branching strategy based on the release goals of our program
Act as a release manager, approving configuration and coded items to be deployed between environments. Where appropriate, this could include deploying changes.
Continuously raise our standard of engineering excellence by implementing standard processes for coding, testing, and deployment
Stay current on Salesforce’s development platform and implement Salesforce development best practices, following the RBC internal standards and guidelines.
Experience in building and enhancing CICD pipelines and tools to deploy Salesforce Packages (e.g., Flosum, Gearset, Jenkins, Copado)
Design process/schedule to deliver completed development to various environments
Design and write build scripts
Verify successful continuous delivery deployments
Maintain a version control repository
Design a comprehensive branching structure that fits the needs of a delivery team with parallel major and minor releases
Coordinate releases to our production environment with our Production Support Team
Review continuous delivery validation builds for failures
Move development and configuration work between version control branches
Resolve deployment issues with development and configuration teams
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
A minimum of 8 years of related or equivalent experience
Proven experience managing system changes without interruption to the user
Experience working with Agile methodology
Familiarity with Continuous Integration tools such as source control, and automation
Strong communication skills
Hands on experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery tools such as Jenkins, Github Actions, Urban Code Deploy
Experience integrating DevOps pipelines with code scanning tools such as Checkmarx
Experience using DevOps tools such as Flosum, GearSet and Copado
Salesforce Certifications: Salesforce Administrator
Nice-to-have
Experience implementing CRM solutions in the financial sector
Flosum Professional Certification
Flosum Expert Certification
