Role Profile

As the Salesforce Platform Owner, you will take responsibility for the support, maintenance and enhancement of the Salesforce Platform, for multiple business sponsors (e.g. Sales, Customer Success, Finance and Marketing).


This role will work with the internal team and leverage external partners to bridge the gap between business requirements and the delivery of requirements using technology.


This is a full-time permanent role reporting to the Global Director of IT.


This role is balanced working model between home and in our modern and centrally located UK - London office close to St Paul’s, Blackfriars, and Farringdon with an excellent and a wide variety of services and transport links situated nearby.


Key Responsibilities

  • Salesforce Administration - Understanding of Salesforce features, best practices and functionalities and familiarity with Salesforce configurations and customisations, including Flows and user management.
  • Perform requirement gathering, work with stakeholders and scope Salesforce projects.
  • Deliver all Salesforce projects effectively and on time, ensuring that any risks / blockers are raised proactively.
  • Improve service delivery for internal customers of a 75-strong team of Sales, and Customer Success and Marketing teams through optimising processes and Salesforce features.
  • Drive business analysis while balancing internal customer needs against the capabilities of the platform.
  • Work openly, proactively and productively with any external contractors/partners.
  • Create functional, technical and design documentation and provide advice on application solutions.
  • Assist with existing integrated technologies, while maintaining a critical eye on all platforms, ensuring they are fit for purpose and provide a strong ROI.
  • Conduct regular review of platform, procedures, and controls and manage urgent issues.
  • Keep the Salesforce requests queue to bare minimum by completing them all as per SLAs.
  • Always keep Salesforce Platform up to date, secure and adhering to Salesforce policies.

What we are looking for:

Essential

  • Salesforce certified (such as Administrator, Sales Cloud, Platform App Builder)
  • Experienced with Project Management via Agile methodology (Atlassian Jira)
  • Business Analysis skills (BA)
  • Sales Cloud
  • Administrative Duties (e.g. SSO, Releases, Jira ticketing)
  • Custom Apps / API integrations (e.g. NetSuite ERP, Crossbeam)
  • Understanding of Apex / LWC
  • Proficiency in data import/export and reporting
  • Flows
  • Lightning
  • Toolset: (e.g. Gearset, Dataloader, Inspector)
  • Troubleshooting/Support
  • Business and Customer oriented
  • Training & Documentation
  • Mentoring
  • Over time, it’s expected that you will understand and support the wider Business Operations (Bus Ops) technology stack (e.g. DocuSign CLM, Kluster, CSI Watch List)
  • Self-sufficient and willing to invest in working closely with key stakeholders and connected systems
  • The drive to learn and grow skills
  • Bridge the gap between business requirements, and technology working with external system integrators on a daily basis
  • Form part of and provide L1 + L2 support for Salesforce related incidents and requests via Global IT Service Desk
  • Positive, proactive outlook with a can-do attitude to bring resolution to problems at all times
  • Confident and passionate about delivering the very best solutions for internal customers

Desirable

  • Previous experience working in a fast-paced business
  • Previous experience working in a Private Equity backed business
  • A degree in any discipline (Business related degree’s preferable)
