A Senior Enterprise Architect in our Salesforce CoE is a customer-facing enterprise-wide expert with broad technical skills, deep industry knowledge, and unparalleled business acumen. They have deep and broad knowledge of Salesforce, AppExchange and the overall Salesforce ecosystem. The Senior Enterprise Architect engages with companies and prospects using a business capability approach and value propositions that align with the company's growth, M&A, product and operations strategies (growing revenue, optimizing costs, and mitigating risks). A Senior Enterprise Architect is a blend of deep technical skills and deep soft skills including communication, influence, inspiration, teamwork and leadership.

A Senior Enterprise Architect is trusted and respected as a thought-leader by company's business and technology teams. He/She is comfortable, experienced and accomplished at working with business and technology executives. The Senior Enterprise Architect is also highly collaborative and knowledgeable of a company's strategies and is pragmatic and practical in approach to problem solving and decision making. He/She is innovative with aptitude for foresight, systems thinking and design thinking. He/She is business outcome focused.

The Senior Enterprise Architect proactively and holistically helps guide companies through transformation and optimization initiatives by applying existing, new, and emerging technologies, with a primary focus on the Salesforce eco-system.

The Senior Enterprise Architect is a subject matter expert in a variety of categories that will include: application architecture, data & information, integration, security, cloud computing, distributed platforms, mobile, and analytics. Senior Enterprise Architects are expected to use proven consultative approaches to engage with company's and define their transformational journey along with steps to get there.

Your Impact:
  • Lead development of multi-year business capability roadmaps for a company's business units such as Marketing, Sales, Services, HR, and Finance.
  • Facilitate enterprise strategy development, opportunity identification, business cases, technology adoption opportunities, operating model development, and innovation opportunities. Lead formulation of strategies for the enterprise services like search, content management, data, integration, micro-services, etc.
  • Facilitate development of cross-functional business solutions that combine knowledge of business capabilities, value streams, and business processes.
  • Focus on enabling companies to grow revenue, optimize costs, and mitigate risks.
  • Partner with stakeholders early in the project lifecycle to identify business, information, technical and security architecture issues and act as a strategic consultant throughout the technology lifecycle.
  • Define architecture principles, guardrails, standards and policies
  • Lead or participate in the enterprise architecture governance, compliance and security activities (architectural reviews, technology sourcing, data governance) to ensure technology solutions are consistent with the target state architecture.
  • Promote the Enterprise Architecture processes, strategies, and recommendations to companies and prospects
  • Provide architecture leadership and oversight for transformational enterprise impacting initiatives
  • Lead the enterprise architecture assessment to identify reuse opportunities
  • Develop and maintain architecture artifacts, frameworks, and patterns as references for engineers and architects
  • Participate in the architecture community of practice, internal knowledge sharing sessions, external events such as Dreamforce and customer briefings
  • Construct deliverables that demonstrate how to move a company toward realizing its strategic goals and targeted business outcomes using structured approaches.
  • Liaise with subject matter experts across the industry and within the organization to accomplish enterprise architecture goals and objectives.
  • Lead analysis of technology industry and market trends to determine their potential impact on the enterprise architecture.

Qualifications

Your skills and Qualifications:
  • 15+ years progressively responsible experience with direct responsibility for digital business transformation formulation leveraging Salesforce and the Salesforce eco-system
  • 10+ years in senior level architectural experience in Enterprise Architecture (Business, Data & Applications) with a focus on the Salesforce eco-system
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, electrical engineering, systems analysis or a related field of study, or equivalent experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution or technical architecture, cloud architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management or operations in a multitier environment.
  • 10+ years of experience in specific industries, including retail, manufacturing, financial services and/or healthcare - deep business process knowledge of those industries
  • 5+ years of leading and managing Enterprise Architecture teams in one or more of the following areas: enterprise transformation, business transformation and optimization, strategic planning, leadership, business relationship management, and business process management.
  • Proven ability to lead the creation of architecture assessments, roadmaps, and strategies. Experience in defining and documenting Enterprise Architecture current, interim and future states, capabilities, mapping applications to capabilities, performing capability gap analysis, defining business values and identifying and evaluating options to close gaps.
  • Strong leadership skills and superior visual and oral presentation skills - comfortable presenting to large and small groups, with business and technical attendees
  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical and technical skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, including teamwork, facilitation, listening, influencing, and negotiation, including the ability to create marketing and messaging materials that meet stakeholder needs.
  • Experience facilitating and leading multi-disciplined, high-performance teams. Experience with large scale project delivery (e.g., Customer Relationship Management, Business Intelligence / Enterprise Data Platform, Enterprise Resource Planning / Financials, etc.).
  • Ability to enable decision making by collaborating with key stakeholders and the extended Publicis Sapient team to deliver results, and to resolve conflicts expediently.
  • Experience with defining Enterprise Architecture best practices and guidelines with a focus on business impact.
  • Proven success in applying a structured approach to analyze business problems and architect innovative technology-based solutions within the defined enterprise guidelines and standards.
  • Exposure to multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments. Knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.
  • Familiarity with information management practices, system development life cycle management, IT services management, agile and lean methodologies, infrastructure and operations, and EA and ITIL frameworks (eg TOGAF, Zachman).
  • Ability to define, maintain and manage architecture models, frameworks, and artifacts and their building blocks (lower-level component) for the enterprise.
  • Ability to balance the long-term (big picture) and short-term implications of individual decisions.
  • Ability to estimate the financial impact of Enterprise Architecture options
  • Knowledge of all components of holistic Enterprise Architecture
  • Ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely in written documents (graphics or text), and to present these coherently and logically
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills. Experience with innovation and ideation methods, such as design thinking
  • Knowledge of business re-engineering principles and processes
  • Ability to rapidly comprehend the functions and capabilities of new technologies and apply them to business needs
  • Familiarity with basic graphical modeling approaches, tools and model repositories
