We're looking for a Head of Salesforce to join our team at Veygo!

Why Veygo?

Veygo was founded 6 years ago as part of a pioneering incubation venture ‘Admiral Pioneer’ - created to seed and launch exciting scale ups to disrupt existing marketplaces.

Veygo has so far seen an impressive 50% YoY growth. We currently provide our customers with temporary and learner car insurance - products designed to make life easier for those wanting to share cars, insure their own car for a short amount of time, or for people learning to drive.

What makes Veygo different?

  • We’re building flexible policies for learner drivers or people looking to share cars once they've passed their test.
  • Veygo provides comprehensive cover to those customers, meaning that the car owner’s insurance policy and no claims bonus is safe if the person borrowing the car has an accident.
  • All Veygo’s insurance is available by the hour, day, week or month and customers can get a quote in minutes.
  • All backed by Admiral, voted Best UK Car Insurance Provider six years in a row by The Personal Finance Awards.

Whilst our mission today is to put people in control of their own journey our ambition is to create a youth lifestyle brand that take us beyond car insurance. Disruption is in our DNA and we’re always relentlessly looking for collaborative self-starters and innovators with the desire to challenge how we do things today; to push the boundaries and drive us through our onward growth journey. Veygo’s culture is vibrant, open, creative, and disruptive.

The Role

The Head of Salesforce is accountable for Salesforce delivery, from analysis, through to implementation and adoption. The delivery covers both Service Cloud (including Financial Services Cloud capabilities) and Marketing Cloud. Strong familiarity with these capabilities is expected.

The Head of Salesforce works closely with technology leads across the organisation to ensure alignment with objectives and standards.

Capability of supporting the management of the Backlog and Roadmap is required.

Responsibility for supporting and mentoring other Salesforce resources, including Technical Expert and Functional Specialist roles that will be working on an existing Roadmap and supporting the business daily through a mix of Salesforce Developer and Admin capabilities.

The Head of Salesforce is expected to be an Individual Contributor when required, performing similarly to the Technical Expert role, essentially an experienced Salesforce Developer capable of implementing out-of-the-box solutions as well as customized Apex code.

Responsibilities

  • Accountable for the good and prompt delivery of Salesforce based solutions
  • Be an Individual Contributor who implements solutions, both out-of-the-box and customised
  • Develop strong relationships with other cross-functional teams and departments (e.g. Growth and Marketing) to meet organisational objectives and key results
  • Produce and drive the vision, strategy and roadmap for Salesforce to support operational needs in the short, medium and long term
  • Coach and Mentor others, both technical and business focused on the benefits and use of the Salesforce platforms

Skills and Requirements

  • Broad experience of the Salesforce ecosystem, to include Admin and Developer capabilities
  • Strong experience with integration of third-party plugins and in-house systems
  • Strong experience with Agile development practices
  • A commercial software engineering background would be advantageous
