The primary purpose of this position is to manage the University’s Enterprise Salesforce environment. This position is required to collaborate with business and technical stakeholders from across the campus to design, configure, and implement Salesforce solutions that meet the current and future needs of the university. This position contributes to the long-term vision of the university’s Salesforce environment to maximize the platform’s utility. This position is also responsible for change management, managing security classes and user access control. Furthermore, this position will create and maintain SOP and technical documentation for responsible procedures.
- Product Management: Collaborate with business and technical stakeholders to design, configure, and implement Salesforce. Stay informed on vendor product roadmaps and contribute to the overall strategy and day-to-day activities involved in administering Salesforce.
- Problem Solving: Work with campus leadership, business users, and technical stakeholders to solve business problems using the Salesforce platform.
- Process Automation: Work with campus stakeholders to create, maintain, and enhance automated business processes.
- Project Management: Plan and oversee Salesforce projects to ensure they are completed on time and within budget.
- Change Management: Manage changes to business processes, technology, and people within Salesforce.
- Security and Access Control: Customize the user experience and manage profiles, permissions, roles, and groups. Proactively set up processes to manage and protect customer and business data.
- Documentation: Create and document processes to ensure data in Salesforce is managed correctly.
- Professional Development: Stay up to date with new Salesforce technology and inspire the campus to do the same.
- Other Duties: Other duties as assigned.
This position may be eligible for Flexible Work Arrangements (FWA) under the ECU FWA Policy.
The standard work schedule for this position will need to be adjusted to meet the position requirements, which include and are not limited to evening and weekend hours to perform scheduled and unscheduled workload requirements to maintain University operations.

Minimum Education/Experience
Bachelor’s degree and 2 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
License or Certification Required by Statute or Regulation

Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
- A 4-year technology related degree with an emphasis on Computer Science.
- Experience in administration and configuration of Salesforce; experience with Salesforce Education Cloud or Student Success Hub is preferred.
- Experience building, configuring, and automating technical solutions within the Salesforce platform.
- Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture, development, and its capabilities.
- Knowledge of Salesforce integration tools and techniques.
- Demonstrated success with multiple Salesforce Integration projects is preferred.
- Keen ability to quickly connect business requirements with the functional capabilities of the application.
- Experience creating, maintaining, and enhancing automated business processes within the Salesforce platform.
- Business analysis and functional experience, including requirements gathering and creating/ deploying solutions to end users.
- Ability to effectively communicate with a broad base of customers on a technical and non-technical level.
- Experience managing or leading enterprise-wide projects.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Ability to work as an independent, productive, responsive, self-motivated member of a team in high pressure situations.
