This position is responsible for providing a complete range of administrative support and reception functions.


Reporting to the Manager of Integrated Client Services the incumbent will be responsible for the following functions:


  • Act as a first point of contact and provide general information to staff, clients and the public relating to their questions, concerns or suggestions;
  • Answer telephone and electronic inquiries and relay telephone calls and messages;
  • Provide general support to visitors, making referrals to appropriate personnel, providing and/or taking information, and assisting clients and the general public in a professional manner;
  • Maintain and monitor office supplies office supply inventory;
  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office;
  • Support staff through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication.

Qualifications:

  • Post-secondary education in Office Administration, business or a combination of post-secondary education and experience deemed relevant by the agency.
  • A valid driver’s license, and use of a vehicle, which will be used in conducting agency business, would be considered an asset.
  • Preference will be given to a qualified candidate who is proficient in both official languages.

Skills required:

  • demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, as well as the ability to learn other Windows-based applications is required;
  • excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work;
  • knowledge of office management systems and procedures;
  • Communicate with others in a respectful and helpful manner while simultaneously building credibility and rapport.


Hours of Work:
35 hours/week. Evening and occasional Saturdays hours are required to meet the position requirements.


Salary: Commensurate with experience within the range, inclusive of HOOPP.
