The global Information Technology (IT) Function is leading efforts to align IT and Business Strategy, leverage IT investments, and optimize end to end business processes and associated information integration technologies. IT also delivers Information Technology applications, infrastructure, and project services in a cost efficient manner to Corning worldwide.
Scope of Position:
As a Senior Salesforce Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing Salesforce solutions to meet business requirements. Working in conjunction with business, IT service lines, business engagement, enterprise architects and IT leadership, you will leverage your technical expertise in Salesforce development to create scalable and efficient solutions that drive organizational success. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
Responsibilities:
- Salesforce Development
- Design (HLD/LLD), develop, and customize Salesforce solutions on force.com platform using Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Components, other Salesforce technologies, and application integration patterns
- Participate in Salesforce implementation projects across Sales and Service clouds, including CPQ, including but not limited to requirements documentation, systems configuration & development, test documentation/execution, issue identification, and resolution
- Implement complex business logic and workflows to automate processes and enhance user experience.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and develop scalable and efficient Salesforce solutions that adhere to best practices, standards, and design patterns.
- Prepare and present code reviews, ensuring code quality and maintainability
- Integration and Data Management
- Integrate Salesforce with external systems and third-party applications using REST/SOAP APIs, middleware tools, and custom integrations.
- Design and implement data migration strategies to ensure accurate and seamless transfer of data between systems.
- Technical Leadership
- Serve as a subject matter expert on Salesforce development & configuration best practices, tools, and technologies
- Troubleshoot complex technical issues
- Provide level of effort (LOE) estimates for requirements, design, build, test, and deployment of technical solutions
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Enterprise Architects, Business Engagement, functional stakeholders, and project teams to analyze business requirements and objectives and translate them into scalable solutions on the Salesforce.com platform
- Collaboration and Communication
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including other technical leads, developers, business analysts, architects, and QA testers to deliver high-quality solutions
- Communicate technical concepts effectively to non-technical stakeholders, providing guidance and recommendations as needed
- Documentation and Training
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of Salesforce configurations and customizations and provide training and knowledge transfer to team members and end-users.
- Continuous Improvement
- Stay current with Salesforce releases, features, and updates, and evaluate their impact on existing solutions
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and optimization within the Salesforce platform
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum of 5-7+ years of experience in Salesforce development, with a focus on Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning Web Components
Required Skills:
- Salesforce Certifications required: Advanced Administrator & Platform Developer II
- Strong understanding of Salesforce data model, security model, and governor limits
- Experience with Salesforce integration tools and techniques (e.g., REST/SOAP APIs, Salesforce Connect, Middleware)
- Proven track record of delivery of high-quality Salesforce solutions across Sales and Service clouds, including CPQ
- Extensive hands-on experience in delivering large-scale Salesforce.com deployment projects
- Thorough understanding of the Salesforce portfolio, platform architecture, and related technologies and dependencies
- Experience with enterprise integration and ETL tools
- Knowledge of reporting and analytics concepts and tools
- Extensive knowledge of general CRM concepts, trends, and industry best practices
- Understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and the ability to manage large amounts of data within Salesforce
Desired Skills:
- Expertise in Salesforce CRMA is a plus.
- Salesforce Certifications desired: Service Cloud Consultant, CPQ Specialist, Sales Cloud Consultant, Field Services Consultant
Location and Travel Requirement:
- Charlotte, NC
- Ability to accommodate travel, including international travel, up to 15%+

The range for this position is $86,904.00 - $119,493.00 assuming full time status. Starting pay for the successful applicant is dependent on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education. The benefits available for this position are dependent on hours worked and may include medical, dental, vision, 401(k) plan, pension plan, life insurance coverage, disability benefits, and PTO.
