The Opportunity


Gentrack are currently hiring a Senior Salesforce Engineer. The role involves working closely with key business stakeholders to help guide the business to improve processes and efficiency in salesforce for the EMEA Utilities business.


We are looking for someone to be responsible for the development and maintenance of Salesforce applications. Your primary focus will be custom Salesforce development and integration with third-party services. You will be working with other engineers and developers on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and creating quality products is essential.


The Specifics:


  • Work with the team to translate user journeys into deliverable Salesforce solutions
  • Developing and maintain software as part of a self-organising, multi-disciplined scrum team
  • Perform unit testing and create automated tests
  • Document functionality and technical solutions
  • Proactively identify ways to improve code and increase quality
  • Maintain a good understanding of new platform features and functionality
  • Support initiatives run by the GSTF and demonstrate our company values by providing a clear commitment to environmental and social responsibility.
  • Contribute through identifying/proposing local sustainable practices and ideas in accordance with our Sustainability Charter.
  • Utilise our sustainability app by taking part in challenges and improving behaviours to be more sustainable.

What we're looking for (you don’t need to be a guru at all, we’re looking forward to coaching and collaborating with you):


  • 5+ years experience working with the Salesforce platform
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and best practice
  • Strong Apex and JavaScript skills
  • Front end experience (HTML/CSS)
  • Experience developing Lightning Web Components
  • Experience working with and developing REST APIs
  • Experience with Salesforce Flow and other automation tools
  • Experience with SFDX, Git and CI/CD pipelines
  • Experience working in an agile/scrum environment

Other helpful skills:


  • Understanding of the energy industry, including key companies.
  • Experience working in tech or for a software vendor.
