Summary:
The Salesforce System Administrator is responsible for managing the company’s existing Salesforce application and its ancillary systems, as well as some additional standalone applications within the organization. This individual will work closely with functional leaders, organizational units, and subject matter experts to identify, develop, and deploy new business processes within Salesforce that lower costs, reduce complexity, and increase productivity.

Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
  • Provide daily administration and support of Salesforce database including, but not limited to user account maintenance, profiles, roles, customization of objects, fields, record types, page layouts, email templates, etc.
  • Build, test, and maintain new and existing custom applications on the Salesforce platform and other related applications
  • Manage Salesforce data feeds and other platform integrations, performing regular data uploads, data maintenance, and cleaning activities
  • Design and create customized reports and dashboards that drive informed business decisions
  • Analyze and understand existing complex custom Salesforce setup and propose options for streamlining existing workflows
  • Assess the impact of new business requirements on Salesforce and all upstream and downstream applications, systems, and processes
  • Customize Salesforce setup to align with business processes
  • Complete regular internal system audits and prepare for upgrades
  • Maintain security inside Salesforce’s security and access architecture (profiles, permission sets, record types, etc.)
  • Assist in training new users and grow the Salesforce skillset across the organization
  • Manage and/or maintain additional ad hoc/standalone software applications used by the business

Education and Experience
BS or BA Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Information Technology, or Management Information Systems or equivalent related work experience. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Salesforce System Administrator. Analytical individual who questions why things are done and applies intelligence/experience to resolve issues.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Salesforce System Administrator
  • Salesforce Admin-Certified (ADM201 and AMD211)
  • Strong understanding of the platform, with the ability to build custom apps or objects, formula fields, workflows, custom views, and other content of intermediate complexity
  • Strong understanding of Salesforce best practices and functionality
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective data architecture across custom applications
  • Experience working with Business Users on change requests and/or implementations.
  • Outstanding written, oral, presentation and teaching skills.
  • Proficiency in all Microsoft Office 365 applications; including, Excel, SharePoint, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.

Preferred Skills:
  • Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud certifications preferred
  • Salesforce development with Force.com and APEX experience and/or Developer certification preferred
  • Competent with PMIS (Project Management Information Systems) and tools such as Jira
