ABOUT THE ROLE
At OUP we are on a journey to being a Salesforce centric organisation which is a key part of maturing the Services, Sales and Marketing capabilities of Front Office within Group Technology. This continued shift aims to support and evolve the support of all publishing divisions around the globe, whilst bringing greater efficiencies to our ways of working and automation under one technology.
The Salesforce Product Owner is a critical role within the Front Office team and is fully accountable for the effective operation of our Salesforce systems and Services and is the key interface between the business, architecture, service operations teams, third party partners and third-party platform vendors. Being able to identify the potential to adopt and onboard capabilities delivered by other platforms and be able both lead and support stakeholders on those technical and business change journeys.
The Salesforce Product Owner is responsible for the delivery, smooth and efficient running of the Sales and Marketing capabilities though OUP’s Salesforce platforms which enables customer services, sales, and marketing teams across The Press to better interact with existing and future customers.
The role will also work closely with Architecture and Transformation groups to support the creation of the strategic roadmap for Front Office services. Ensuring that priorities of business strategy, changing technology capabilities and market enforced pressures are fed into planning and delivery cycles.
Accountabilities:
- Ensure the effective operation and consumption of Salesforce systems and services.
- Management of the performance and consumption of the Salesforce systems and services, with regular reporting against agreed SLAs / KPIs
- Effective management of risks, issues and owning team associated actions through to resolution.
- Direct report of a Delivery Manager and Business Analyst,
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.
ABOUT YOU
- Strong background in Salesforce product lines (Service, Sales, Marketing and Data) and their business wide use cases
- Strong experience of defining a multi-year Salesforce plan and delivering tangible and quantifiable improvements.
- Ability to balance costs and required levels of service, to ensure services are right sized to support the business need and audience
- Strong stakeholder management skills, able to build collaborative relationships with technology and business stakeholders
- Committed to realisation of business outcomes and driving improvement
- Experience of delivering into a globally spread business organisation
- Experience of working across multiple Salesforce orgs, each with differing needs and attention
