Senior Salesforce Developer

What you’ll do:

As the Senior Salesforce Developer, you’ll use your technical and product knowledge to design, build and deliver tailored solutions for our clients, that adhere to best practices, using Salesforce and other connected technologies. Your work will cover two broad areas: technical development, and Salesforce and marketing automation consulting. Because of the interdisciplinary nature of this role, you will have the opportunity to be both a trusted consultant and an implementing developer. With much of your work completed remotely, the ability to communicate with clients via both email and conference calls is of the utmost importance. You will also:

- Provide input for project plans, estimates and scope for proposals and SOWs
- Listen and understand client industry, business models, processes, inefficiencies and pain points
- Support clients with day-to-day use of the platforms, including administration, configuration, email and landing page development, and website and systems integration
- Design solutions to client problems with a strategic view that takes into account a range of considerations including client goals, capacity, security, and long term scalability
- Write, interpret, and critique technical specifications
- Implement technical solutions for our clients that vary from using existing software systems to custom development and integrations to expand base functionality
- Adhere to platform best practices, finding opportunities for enhancements and bringing existing code into best practices
- Conduct comprehensive testing for stability and function
- Maintain code documentation and write/maintain test classes for all custom development
- Deliver technical training to clients
- Monitor release cycles to implement new updates
- Provide ongoing thought leadership, training, coaching and support to other technical consultants and team members
- Other duties as assigned

In this position, you will have flexibility to be fully remote, in office (Toronto, ON), or hybrid. Some travel may be required. This role reports to the VP of Operations.

What you’ll bring:

- University degree in computer science, computer engineering, information technology, or similar
- 3+ years of development experience with Salesforce (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Salesforce Flows)
- 3+ years administrative experience with Salesforce
- Experience with Sales and/or Service Cloud
- Salesforce Admin and/or Developer certifications
- Strong understanding of the Salesforce ecosystem, architecture, and data modes
- Front end web development skills (HTML, CSS, and Javascript)
- Back end web development skills (PHP, C#, Java, Ruby, Python or Node.js)
- Proactive issue identification and superb problem resolution skills
- Exemplary planning and organizational skills, along with a high degree of detail orientation
- Ability to effectively prioritize and juggle multiple concurrent projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with ability to clearly communicate with all types of staff including technical, professional, and upper management
- Desire to learn, grow, and be part of a team
- Flexibility, innovation, positivity

Nice to have

- Salesforce Architect, Consultant, and/or Marketing certifications
- Experience with Experience Cloud, Data Cloud and/or Marketing Cloud
- Experience with Nonprofit Success Pack and/or Nonprofit Cloud
- Experience with other Industry clouds
- Experience with other Marketing Automation platforms (Hubspot, Marketo, Eloqua)
- Development experience using enterprise web service APIs
- Thorough understanding of Jira and Google Workspace
