The Tech & Data department (~200 employees across the globe) provides products, services, and support to all SCOR Group worldwide. Its 2 key challenges today are to successfully implement its new Target Operating Model (TOM), to be supported by an ambitious pluri-annual internalization plan to deliver innovative products and services to its clients.
The Tech & Data organization is an Agile matricial organization relying on 4 pillars:
- Data and System Engineering , made of the following teams : Data Center of Excellence, Products and Systems Engineering and Enterprise Architecture
- Management & Control (M&C) & Corporate Systems , made of teams supporting Crews and Transversal Functional Domains: Governance, T&D Operating Model Implementation, Security & Compliance, Financial Control, Sourcing & Vendor Management, Governance, and Processes
- Technical , made of teams dedicated to IT Operations, Network, Cloud, Workplace & Cloud Productivity Services
- Crews and Transversal Functional Domains
Crews are supported by Chapters (System Engineering, Architecture, DevOps, …) and both Technical and M&C-C teams are fully dedicated to the delivery of SCOR products, services and support.
Under the responsibility of the Salesforce Solution Owner, and in line with the Architecture chapter, the Salesforce Solution Architect’s key activities are:
User-Centric Solution Design:
Collaborate with users, business stakeholders and technical teams to understand our organization's needs and objectives. Design comprehensive and scalable Salesforce solutions that meet these requirements.Architectural Expertise:
- Advise senior management on key initiatives and help guide business-critical architectural choices & strategies.
- Communicate technical concepts and solutions to non-technical stakeholders, fostering a clear understanding of the benefits and impacts of architectural decisions. Facilitate inter-program and inter-project issues.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide technical leadership and guidance to development teams throughout the solution development lifecycle. Ensure that the architecture is implemented as designed.
- Oversee the integration of various system components, applications, and data sources. Ensure seamless interoperability and data flow.
- Continuously assess and optimize the performance, security, and scalability of the solution. Address any performance bottlenecks or security vulnerabilities. Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends. Evaluate their potential to enhance our solutions and make recommendations for their adoption.
Build & Maintain Architecture Assets:
- Define and maintain architecture patterns, strategies, accelerators and best practices working with the rest of the architecture team and apply them to our various initiatives and architectural challenges. Create and maintain documentation at various levels of details (from overall product eco-system to a specific component) including diagrams, technical user stories, and architectural decisions as relevant / needed.
Architecture Chapter & Software Engineering Advocate:
- Participate in the animation and organisation of the architecture chapter ceremonies (architecture committees, round tables, crew catch-up sessions..)
- Promote the architecture team activities in throughout the organisation.
- Build a network of contacts within crews, squads and stakeholders to help the chapter keep up to date and connected with various initiatives, challenges, projects being discussed throughout the organisation and be able to intervene and provide assistance as necessary.
- 10 years+ experience in Salesforce solution implementation and/or architecture roles (for example as a software engineer, solution or enterprise architect, technical lead, solution designer…).
- Willingness to adapt and learn in a dynamic technology environment. Strong track record in the design, architecture and/or implementation of complex Salesforce solutions, gained within a consultancy, systems integrator, financial services or similar organization, and through the experience of a range of systems delivery programmes and projects.
Technical Skills
- Strong knowledge of Salesforce platform and ecosystem
- Strong knowledge/understanding of modern software architecture, development, and methodology. Ability to design an entire solution / system, optimizing for specific criteria.
- Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills; ability to estimate business, risk and financial impacts of architecture choices and orientations.
- Advanced knowledge of architectural principles, frameworks, and best practices. Fluent in English (written, spoken)
Behavioral & Management Skills :
- Pronounced analytical and conceptual capabilities coupled with the ability to present complex situations in a clear way
- Capacity to navigate in a matricial and international environment Great communication skills and the ability to influence at a senior level
Required Education
Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or related field; or equivalent experience
