Position: Salesforce Administrator & Developer
Location: Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec would be preferred. However, we are also open in having this person in Burlington, Ontario / Edmonton or Calgary, Alberta
Workplace flexibility: We require a minimum attendance of 2 days/week in office. This role requires also travel (25%) across the country.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Applications Manager, this chosen talent will blend administrative, development, and APEX expertise to support and enhance our Salesforce platform, ensuring it meets the evolving needs of our business.

What would be your main responsibilities as a Salesforce Administrator & Developer?:

Salesforce Administration & Development:

  • Manage Salesforce configuration, including user setup, profiles, roles, permissions, and sharing rules.
  • Maintain data integrity and implement best practices for data governance.
  • Perform regular system audits and prepare for Salesforce upgrades.
  • Create and maintain reports, dashboards, and workflows to support business operations.
  • Develop and customize Salesforce applications using APEX, Visualforce, Lightning Components, and other Salesforce technologies.
  • Integrate Salesforce with other systems using MuleSoft, APIs and middleware tools.
  • Implement and manage custom objects, fields, and validation rules.
  • Optimize and refactor existing code to improve performance and scalability.
  • Stay updated with the latest Salesforce features, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Participate in Salesforce community events and networking opportunities.
  • Identify and implement improvements to the Salesforce platform and processes.
APEX Programming:

  • Write and maintain complex APEX code to extend Salesforce capabilities.
  • Develop APEX triggers, classes, and test methods to ensure high code quality and coverage.
  • Debug and resolve APEX issues and optimize APEX code for performance.
Project Management and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
  • Participate in project planning, provide estimates, and deliver solutions on time.
  • Work closely with other developers, administrators, and consultants to implement cohesive solutions.
  • Communicate effectively with non-technical team members and stakeholders.What are the requirements needed to have success in this position?: 

 
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or relevant technology-focused degree would be considered an asset 
  • Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Administrator, Platform Developer I & II) are highly preferred. 
  • 3+ years of proven experience in Salesforce administration and development including a proven strong understanding of Salesforce architecture and best practices. 
  • Proficiency in APEX, Visualforce, and Lightning Components. 
  • A strong background in GitHub, CI/CD pipelines, DevOps Principle and the software development lifecycle is essential 
  • Experience with integration tools and third-party applications. 
  • Knowledge of additional commercial applications like ERP or marketing automation platforms is a plus. 
  • Experience with Sales Cloud, Experience Cloud and Account Engagement (Pardot) an asset. 
  • MuleSoft experience is an asset. 
  • Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment and asset. 
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills. Bilingual (French/English) would be preferred for this position. 
  • Ability to travel for engaging with clients, stakeholders, or off-site personnel/management, attend trainings / meetings necessitating flexibility in scheduling and location.
