The Salesforce Solution Developer is a unique opportunity to build innovative and user-friendly solutions in critical business areas.

In this role, you will contribute in a meaningful way to enhance the business systems, procedures, and standards, ensuring quality and delivery of service to customers. Demonstrated ability to document clear business requirements and solutions needed to meet business requirements and to translate the requirements into functional designs for CRM, 3rd party add-ons, extensions, and interfaces.

Job location - Linx Office at Saint Ives in Cambridgeshire

Role Summary

Salesforce Developer works with other colleagues across the business, to apply expert technical knowledge and experience of Salesforce to support the most appropriate solutions with detailed development design and technical specifications.

This is a hands-on role that requires significant technical experience with multiple Salesforce clouds including Sales Cloud and Marketing Cloud (Service, Data and Experience Cloud a bonus). We are looking for a technical Developer with 5-7 years of proven experience and certification as a Salesforce Technical Developer or Application and Systems Developer (all preferred).

Your responsibilities as a Salesforce Developer at Linx Printing Technologies, include:

  • Providing ongoing support and maintenance for Salesforce applications, including troubleshooting and resolving issues.
  • Staying up to date with the latest Salesforce technologies, best practices, and industry trends.
  • Be able to manage Salesforce license renewals and conduct vendor meetings
  • Hands-on experience on designing, building, and delivering integrated solutions based on Salesforce, Field Service Lightening, and leading ecosystem products. Ability to create and communicate Salesforce solution, solution designs and requirements using personas, customer journeys and user stories
  • Owning client business and IT engagement, including facilitating workshops throughout all project phases
  • Functional expertise & experience using the Salesforce Field Service, either as a consultant or end user
  • Sound knowledge and hands on in Designing and developing custom applications, features, and integrations within the Salesforce platform
  • Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and user guides.
  • To document design decisions, build notes and test plans. Participate in code reviews to ensure that the best practices for the existing and new Salesforce solutions are implemented.
  • To become the “Go To” person for Salesforce knowledge within the team whilst coaching, guiding and sharing knowledge to the team members
  • To work with other team members in the team and across the delivery function to ensure quality and scalability are at the forefront of our development.
  • Collaborating with business analysts and project managers to gather and analyse requirements. Creating and maintaining integrations with other applications and systems using web services and APIs.
  • Collaborating with stakeholders and other developers to identify and implement improvements for the system.
  • Ensuring compliance with security and development standards of Salesforce.

Your Education and/or Background Experience will include:


  • Minimum of 5 years of proven Salesforce experience is a must, particularly in the manufacturing industry.
  • Experience in implementation of Salesforce Lightening and Salesforce Communities is a must.
  • Strong analytical skills, problem solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • B2C Commerce Experience essential
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, etc. or any other equivalent educational qualifications desirable
  • Solid understanding of best practices in CRM usage and ability to bring a consulting approach to help business solve issues and challenges. Proven experience working with external CRM Support partners to investigate, research, recommend and test patches, functionality, and processes.
  • Technical skills, including Salesforce flows, reports, dashboards, objects, process builder, optimization, etc.
  • English language spoken and written fluency required. French speaking knowledge is a plus.
  • Keen attention to detail; solid organizational and time management skills.
  • Individual should be open to feedback and should carry a positive mindset.
  • Ability to multitask and work on multiple issues/projects simultaneously
