What We’re Looking For
As a Salesforce Development Manager at Northern, you will lead and manage a team of Salesforce developers and technical leads. This role is pivotal in ensuring the success and growth of your team while overseeing the development and implementation of Salesforce solutions. You will work closely with Project Managers and Tech Leads to deliver successful projects, uphold Salesforce development best practices, and foster a high-performing, collaborative team environment. Your leadership will be key to achieving our project goals and enhancing our Salesforce capabilities.
Full-time remote is available, within Canada. Our Connected Workplace Program gives you the option to choose a remote, hybrid, or in-office workspace!

Duties & Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of Salesforce developers, providing feedback and career development support.
- Ensure adherence to Salesforce development best practices for project planning, implementation, and documentation.
- Provide consistent constructive feedback, performance coaching, and mentorship to team members.
- Offer career development advice and support to help team members set and achieve their professional development goals.
- Conduct quarterly performance reviews, offering insights into current performance and development opportunities.
- Ensure team objectives are met or exceeded by supporting and guiding team efforts.
- Oversee team resourcing and forecasting to ensure appropriate task assignments.
- Manage Salesforce project planning, documentation, implementation, and solutioning, adhering to best practices.
- Improve development workflows and processes in collaboration with the Director of eCommerce Development.
- Provide technical guidance and establish a technical vision for Salesforce initiatives, including organizing and enforcing technical standards.
- Lead and facilitate discussions on industry best practices, involving relevant tech leads, architects, and other stakeholders.
Knowledge, Education & Experience Required
- Post-secondary degree in MultiMedia, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 5+ years of web development experience.
- 2+ years of experience leading Salesforce development teams.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with Salesforce development, including Apex, Visualforce, and Lightning components.
- Strong understanding of project management principles and experience across the Salesforce project lifecycle.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- Salesforce certifications (e.g., Salesforce Certified Platform Developer, Salesforce Certified Administrator).
- Experience with Salesforce integration tools and advanced features.
