We are excited to bring on a Manager, Account Service Team to join our Group Protection Distribution Team supporting Workplace Solutions.
Background Details
On the Group Protection Distribution Team, you will provide leadership, coaching and development to your centralized team of Associates and Specialists managing brokers primarily in the under U100 lives account management segment. Through your leadership, you will ensure the team is set up for success to retain and grow our block of business and serve as an extension to our internal and external partners.

As a Manager of the Account Service Team, you will be responsible for ensuring a positive customer experience for our brokers within your team. You will provide oversight on broker escalations and ongoing relationship management to drive new business and persistency for inforce business. You will partner closely with your peer leaders, Sales Coordinator Directors, the Sales Team, and Sales AVPs to achieve and support sales and retention goals. You will build and foster effective relationships, both internally and externally, to influence retention and sales. Additionally, you will collaborate with internal partners on complex projects and initiatives which optimize broker satisfaction and retention to achieve desired business results. What you'll be doing
- You will lead a dynamic team in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment with high-volume activities. Provide training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and give honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent. You will ensure that top talent is hired and retained for their assigned areas of responsibility.
- You will establish, manage, and evaluate individual/team performance through data and feedback. You will take appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards for assigned areas of responsibility, identify trends, and determine effectiveness of relationship management activities within the team.
- You will identify and manage the implementation of process improvements that significantly reduce workloads or improve quality across the department. You will build on organizational capabilities within your assigned areas of responsibility.
- You will establish and maintain a collaborative relationship with key stakeholders across the functional areas while acting as a resource for team members on more complex assignments/projects to improve the broker/customer experience.
- You will manage and enhance organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or department/enterprise initiatives within assigned area of responsibility.
What we’re looking for
Must-have experience (Required):
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's)
- 5+ Years experience in relationship management that directly align with the specific responsibilities for this position, including 2+ years of managerial, supervisor and/or demonstrated leadership experience
- Experience working with clients/brokers, specifically in the U500 segment
- Possess strong confidence to lead the team effectively and is results-oriented
- Exceptional communication skills
- Ability to deal with change in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and multi-task
Nice-to-have experience (Preferred):
- Group Insurance product knowledge
- Account management and/or distribution experience (sales/account management, etc.)
- Salesforce knowledge

The pay range for this position is $67,000 - $120,700 with anticipated pay for new hires between the minimum and midpoint of the range and could vary above and below the listed range as permitted by applicable law. Pay is based on non-discriminatory factors including but not limited to work experience, education, location, licensure requirements, proficiency and qualifications required for the role. The base pay is just one component of Lincoln’s total rewards package for employees. In addition, the role may be eligible for the Annual Incentive Program, which is discretionary and based on the performance of the company, business unit and individual. Other rewards may include long-term incentives, sales incentives and Lincoln’s standard benefits package.
