Our Sales team works closely with travel agencies, United travel departments, corporate clients and more to provide phenomenal customer solutions that lead to fruitful business relationships. And through valued customer feedback, optimized partnerships, and innovative sales strategies, Sales continues to be the largest revenue-generating department at United.
Key Responsibilities:
The Account Manager - Business Development will elevate corporate revenue to support United's expansion goals by identifying new corporate partnership opportunities, and tailoring United for Business programs to meet the unique travel needs of each corporation.
- Convey the value of United Airlines and United for Business and assign the appropriate United for Business product that drives balanced value, meeting the customer and United Airlines strategic objectives.
- Deliver on core new business metrics by proactively identifying prospects, validating the opportunities, developing customized client solutions, executing the contract, following through with contract implementation, and transitioning to our account management teams.
- Collaborate with key stakeholder teams including marketing, product, and support teams to align sales efforts with overall new business strategies. Ensure the successful contract activation to meet client and United expectations.
- Identify and establish new strategic lead pipeline partnerships, alliances, and collaborations that can enhance United’s new business growth and overall market penetration.
- Test new tech-stack, sales products, programs, and go-to-market strategies with targeted customers. Provide timely feedback to the appropriate Product/Program Manager and Sales Leadership on customer reaction and uptake.
This is a remote role, with the potential to travel up to 5% of the time to attend quarterly meetings.

Qualifications
What’s needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):
- Bachelor's degree
- 2+ years’ experience in New Business Pipeline Management, Sales Enablement/CRM Tools, or Virtual Account Management
- Proficient in Sales Enablement/CRM Tools (Microsoft Office Suite, Salesforce, Outreach)
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Adaptable, ability to embrace change and technological advancements
- Strong negotiating skills and financial competence
- Strategic thinker with the ability to analyze data, industry trends, and translate them into actionable plans
- Ability to sync product value to customer needs
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for any employer without sponsorship
- Successful completion of interview required to meet job qualification
- Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position

The salary for this position is $59,700 to $87,560, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, education, and skills. This range is based on a full-time schedule. Bonus eligible: yes.
