As a Sr. Architect - in our Salesforce practice, you will be responsible for engineering, architecting, and delivering world-class solutions for our customers, producing enterprise standard implementations using the platform's full capabilities, and leading delivery teams to deliver high-quality solutions on Salesforce.com. You will be responsible for providing tailored solutions involving complex UX/UI, real-time and batch integrations, water-tight security, and custom automation.

At Cognizant’s Salesforce practice, we help our clients shape their digital transformation journey and design groundbreaking Industry solutions using the power of Salesforce. Our experts provide relevant expertise and experience within their domain combined with deep knowledge of the Salesforce platform and broader ecosystem. This role will be part of the core team of the Salesforce practice, and you will have the opportunity to be part of a great growth story.
About You
As a Salesforce FSL Technical Architect, you will work closely with our clients and internal teams to act as domain experts and drive the design of practical and innovative solutions across industries. We seek someone who communicates clearly and confidently, leading technical briefings and business requirements gathering sessions.
Your Key Result Areas
- Provides technical consultation on various aspects of the product and solutions based on the customer’s business requirements
- Create, manage, and present an actionable BRD/FSD (Blueprint) that aligns a customer’s technical business needs to that of Salesforce Solutions.
- Responsible for designing/architecting the solution and development part with the help of development for large-scale customers.
Required skills and experience:
- FSL Senior Architects must possess broad knowledge across multiple development platforms and draw on their skills and experience to assess customer requirements and architecture in order to design secure, high-performance technical solutions that maximize the Salesforce platform's potential.
- This particular architect position requires extensive experience working in field service environments, and the candidate must have Field Service Lightning experience.
- Lead functional and technical workshops. Demonstrate leadership skills in designing, delivering, testing, and deploying.
- Develop Design Documents and Artifacts.
- Expertise in User Journey preparations, User Story reviews, Data Modeling, Apex Design Patterns, LWC, and other modern UI techniques.
- Serve as a trusted advisor to the client, driving conversations with their Enterprise Architects and business stakeholders that shape the architectural vision and establish a program architectural roadmap.
- Manage customer expectations; negotiate solutions to sophisticated problems with both the customer and third-party partners
- Guide our customers, partners, and implementation teams on how best to implement digital transformation with the Salesforce platform using Salesforce Industries.
- Establish trust with the customer’s leadership, promoting and/or implementing best practices with SFI and Salesforce, and directly with clients to design technology solutions to meet client needs
- Highlight and manage risk areas in the solution in a proactive manner and commit to seeing an issue through to completion.
- 15+ years of experience in developing technology solutions.
- 3+ years of experience in implementing Salesforce FSL solutions by handling client-facing projects in positions of increasing responsibility in the context of systems development and related business consulting.
- Expertise in one or multiples of Sales/Service/Experience Cloud
- Salesforce Certified must (Salesforce Certified Field Service Consultant)
- Salesforce Certification Preferred (Admin, Developer, Sales, and Service Clouds, Application Architect)

The annual salary for this position is between $190,000 – 210,000, depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
