The opportunity:
Zurich Insurance UK is expanding its Salesforce release team to meet the increasing demand for digital transformation, API-led application development, Agile delivery, DevOps practices and innovation.
The Salesforce Team sits within the UK Technology Transformation team which is part of the UK IT Change and Delivery function.
The Salesforce team is helping the Zurich’s transformation journey by improving efficiency and by putting the customer at the heart of everything we do. The team has fully embraced modern ways of working including Agile, DevOps practices, API-led development, and CI/CD.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Salesforce team as a Salesforce DevOps Engineer. You will work alongside the wider Salesforce team to ensure the effective deployments to the Salesforce platform via our CI/CD estate. You will have the opportunity to work on development change across our Salesforce estate comprising of five Salesforce Orgs, all while learning and growing your skill set.
Reporting into the Salesforce Release Supervisor, you will be a Salesforce Professional in the start of their career. You will be responsible for deploying releases within a specified timeline and working with the operations team on small changes, you will work on development stories experiencing the differences between 5 Salesforce orgs.
Due to Financial Services being a regulated industry we must adhere to Zurich’s internal standards and industry regulatory requirements. You will be responsible for following internal process to make sure we adhere to the standards expected.
This role will also require learning source code control, GIT, DevOps best practice, Gearset, CI/CD Automation, Salesforce metadata and the Atlassian suite.

What are we looking for?
- You will have the Salesforce certification ADM201 (or at an advanced stage in studying towards this certification)
- An interest in Salesforce release management.
- Ability to manage competing demands.
- Great interpersonal skills, and good written and oral communication skills being able to talk directly to customers to understand change and configuration requirements.
- Great problem-solving ability
- A logical mindset
- Ability to work collaboratively with the stakeholders.

Desirable :
- Experience with Salesforce deployments.
- Experience with Salesforce development.
- Experience of using JIRA and Confluence
- DevOps and agile knowledge
- Experience in Gearset
- Experience of process improvement and optimisation
